Up All Night

As I stare at the stars dotting the polluted sky 

I think of what happened before 

What could be changed to change our situation? 

Our dreams were deferred the loan company collected what was left of us 

Happiness is borrowed from sorrow 

Helping you appreciate a feeling that isn’t normally felt 

A world of despair awaits the hopeful 

But the ones that gave up claim a temporary bliss 

Till they realize that life is rewarding 

Life includes love 

Although people will display affection at your funeral 

Remember they never gave it to you living 

So fight for life 

Cause death is a bitch that can’t be tamed
